So me and my best friend are wanting to move to Honolulu after we graduate next year. Most likely not RIGHT away but fairly close. We both are applying to UofH in Manoa. We're going to try to get jobs, go to a community college, etc. We're both juniors in high school and right now she has a job. I don't have one because I can't drive yet and there's no jobs available for teens in my town. I'm hoping to get a job by the end of this year. I'm pretty deadset on saving up money if I know what I want to save it up for. We both kind of want to rent a house and most of the houses are for 2 bedroom we've seen are $2000. But that's just for sort of older looking/run down houses. Is that a good rental price for an older looking 2 bedroom house? Is it better for two young kids to live in an apartment than a house for a financial situation or does it not matter? And if yes for apartments, can you give me some apartments names that are pretty safe in Oahu that are very affordable for college kids. **For safe I mean just violent crimes like rape, murder, and getting beat up for no reason....
